Profile

I am a senior research scientist with Science Division. I manage the Threatened Flora Seed Centre, a long term storage facility for seed of rare and threatened species of Western Australia. My role is to collect, test, store and monitor this seed, and ensure its viability for the future.

My work also involves research into new techniques for the collection and storage of seed. I am interested in plant-animal interactions, where this relates to seed set, seed predation and the productivity of the species.

Expertise

  • Seed collection and storage of conservation taxa
  • Seed germination of Western Australian flora
  • Seed biology
